Sam Steele  SOLD

Sire: Sherlock Holmes  Dam: SPS Eskalade

Sam Steele ~ 1995 Dark Bay (16.2 hh) Stallion (AHS Approved) by Sherlock Holmes (Salvano ~ Eklatant ~ Akzent I). Sam Steele is a son of the impressive stallion Sherlock Holmes who himself placed second in his performance test out of 43 stallions earning the high scores of 141.14 for rideability and 139.76 for jumping. His dam, States Premium mare Eskalade, produced three licensed stallions and a top hunter. Sherlock Holmes produced eight licensed stallions and 40 States Premium Mares. Sherlock Holmes offspring, like himself, are multi-talented for dressage and jumping, and he produces impressive horses with extravagant movement.

Sam Steele inherited these traits and passes them on to his offspring. Many have been chosen champion foals at their inspection, and three of his daughters placed first and second for the Hartwig Prize, for highest scoring young North American-bred mares. Others are starting to compete successfully and are receiving much attention, such as ‘Sundance Kid’ who placed 2nd in the Pre-Green Division and 3rd in the Adult Amateur Division in Ontario for 2008.

Sam Steele has been sold, however he is currently still standing at stud at Windswept Farm.
